Vertical forests spring up in China

A housing project in the southwestern city of Chengdu is the latest in China to use an increasingly popular “vertical forest” concept. Lush vegetation turns balconies into gardens, which the developer hopes will keep residents in touch with nature — even if they never leave the urban jungle.<br />
